The Stella cherry tree is a popular self-fertile sweet cherry variety known for its dark red, heart-shaped fruits and reliable harvests.

• Origin: Developed in British Columbia, Canada, in 1968 by the Summerland Research Station.

• Altitude: Grows well up to about 2,000 meters (6,500 feet); thrives in temperate climates with well-drained soil.
• Pollination: Self-pollinating, but yields can improve with other sweet cherry trees nearby.
